On parenting 2...

Hardest good thing I've ever done (seeing as loosing Momma Bear and Kiks was way hard, but not so good, and not eventually rewarding).

just practicing her stacking and balancing.

Babies are my jam. Meaning, after I recover from the birthing-body-orifice-leaking-mess and get 4 consecutive hours of sleep and emerge as a human being again, the cute little bundle of infancy I'm left with just tickles my fancy. Most hours of the day I just want to nibble baby toes and do anything to get giggles and smiles. Babies, I get them. Second time around with a baby, so far easier, which is saying a lot cause my first one was easy. Im not getting too comfortable though, because toddlers, a hot mess. Bipolar. I like predictability. Im not one for big surprises. But with a toddler, one day you grab them and swing them in the air and they squeal with delight...and the next time they scream and bite your calf. They are so fun one minute, as you bask in their every discovery, and feel like the funniest person alive because they giggle at EVERYTHING you do. Then BAM, without warning, they are emptying out your cabinets while screaming for food and throwing your phone in the trash. Then kisses and dancing. Then, BAM, peeing on your carpet and clawing at their siblings face. Not that any of this has happened to us.  It's gotten easier though, praise the Lord. The older Charlie Belle has gotten the easier it is. She communicates a whole lot better and is almost done getting deciduous teeth...two kids teething at once, not so fun.

helping with the dishes.

So I'm feeling way more comfortable now and seeing the joys of two (man do they love each other). And although we aren't planning for any more kids anytime soon, I can understand now why people decide to have more than 2 (don't get your panties in a wad...we aren't having anymore babies right now...but if one day we decide to, you better have the excited "children are a blessing from the Lord" response, because it's just crazy and super rude how opinionated everyone becomes over how many children you should have).

sister love

Charlie Belle (21 months): passionate and emotional, adventurous and cautious. getting her eye teeth (yuck); only the 2 year molars to go.  Loves to eat, but "what???" she loves to eat each day, your guess is as good as mine. (That changed at 17 months, she used to eat almost anything).  Repeats everything. Swimming a little on her own. Pee pee's in the potty if you initiate (says "poo-poo" and grabs her bottom just before she toots and after she pooped). Independant, yet not against you helping her scrape that last spoonful of soup. 28lbs. 90% for height. Allergic to dairy...boo, eczema. Loves her daddy, but wants her momma if she doesn't feel well or needs something. Thinks she is hilarious and loves to make us laugh.  Spends 2 days a week at Aunt Nay Nay's with Car Car and seems to love it.

aren't I so funny ma?

June. June Bug. June-O. Juniper. June Olive. Sissy. The Baby. : 7 months. sweet. So chill. So smiley now. Loves Charlie. Would prefer to divide her milk meals into 10 snacks- just a super laid-back eater and so easily distracted. Scooting around. Sits like a champ. Loves to be held. Talks super loud when she is tired. Usually naps 3 times a day, falls asleep great on her own. Woken up frequently by a loud big sister (there is no where to hide in this little casa).  Is eating some solids (not off a spoon, she hates that), mostly she just makes a giant mess and doesn't get much food in her mouth. so content. so easy. 50% for height and 10% for weight (can't remember the numbers).

she can get up, but she can't get anywhere.

she loves this blanket, and loves burrowing, and I just recently (almost) stopped panicking every time she does this. another example that makes me question how people refer to me for the safety and well-being of their kiddos.
